Abstract :
In this study the relationship between the words, Turkish kim and Persian ki As in Western Turkish, were discussed. The relationships between the two words were researched in terms of the historical process and the results revealed in the language. The intense period between the words Turkish kim and Persian ki is Old Anatolia and the Ottoman Turkish. In accordance with the general principles of language relations, this relationship must be earlier. In order to come true such a structural borrowing between the two languages, it must have had an intense lexical borrowing period before. For this reason, primarily focused on that how this relation reflects on Kokturk, Uighur and Qarahanids Turkish and then the situation was analyzed in texts manuscripted in Old Anatolian Turkish. Examples in historical texts show that the relationship between the words Turkish kim and Persian ki pass through certain stages from Old Turkic to Ottoman Turkish. This stage follows a structure that from simple to complex. While in Uighur and Qarahanids Turkish, Persian ki’s one task only have been uploaded to the Turkish kim, its conjuction feature of Turkish have been uploaded in Old Anatolia and Ottoman Turkish to kim.
