Abstract :
AǾcebü’l-ǾUccāb is a work written by Mahmūd Bin Kādį-i Manyās inHijri 841 (Gregorian 1438). The work consists of four main articles. Thesearticles are also divided among themselves and the book consists of elevensections in total. The subject of the first article is shari provisions, the subjectof the second article is accountancy, the subject of the third article is variouswonderful sciences, the subject of the fourth article is the Qur an, Esmā-iHusna, and the secrets of the letters. There are ten copies we can find andreach. On our work is based on Süleymaniye Library, NuruosmaniyeCollection 4975, Topkapı Palace New Yazsalar 705 and SüleymaniyeLibrary, Hekimoğlu Collection 522. This work is based on the medical benefits of mines, plants and animalsin the first part of the third article of the work. This section, which isdescribed according to the order of the letters as an encyclopedic work, istaken as if the text of the text is not distorted, and immediately below it isgiven a simplified form. The study has been examined under two mainheadings as religious-magical functions and medical functions of mines,plants and animals. The examples given show that in the 15th century andbefore, mines, plants and animals were the subject of considerableapplications in terms of magic and medical folklore.
