Oğuz Atay’s novel of Tehlikeli Oyunlar is a novel which makes the factor threatening to human existence visible as the situation of instability with one’s freedom. In a short way, the freedom means that evaluating one’s own and society’s opportunities in a responsible way for all humanity and self in the situation of absence of pressure and force. The freedom is divided into two as stable and unstable. The stability with freedom which implies a positive situation is the assessment of one’s own opportunities in a responsible way without adhering to any external factor in own loneliness and historicity (the consciousness of being mortal and finite). The instability with freedom states the absence of stability and points out to can not evaluate to own opportunities in own loneliness and historicity. The stability with freedom points out the situation of totality. The instability with freedom states being fragmented, namely, the absence of the holistic qualified decision which will determine to actions that will be able to come true in the now or future. Both forms make itself visible many daily actions. The stability with freedom reveals itself by choosing of the person’s existence and undertaking of responsibility this choice in the best way. The instability with freedom also reveals itself irresponsible person’s hesitant qualified actions which waits for be approved and be understood by others, punishes, conditions and closes down in the best way. The instability with freedom is a threat to human existence with all its forms. This situation makes itself visible in mentioned novel’s manin character Hikmet Benol’s actions which waits for be approved and be understood, conditions and closes down to own opportunities.
