Abstract :
In this study, bentonite clay was modified to organo-nanoclay by interaction ofcetyltrimethyl ammoniumbromide (CTAB). Organoclayhas been characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and solidstate UV-Vis spectroscopy, while properties for clay characterized by microscopy (EFTEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD). The analysis confirmed the interaction and the nano properties of the synthesized material.
