  • Abstract
The availability of in office Cone Beam CT (CBCT)scanners, dental implant planning software, CAD CAMmilling, and rapid printing technologies allow for the preciseplacement of dental implants and immediate prosthetictemporization. These technologies allow for flaplessimplant placement, or open flap bone reduction for “Allon 4” techniques with improved preoperative planning andintraoperative performance. CBCT permits practitionersin an office setting with powerful diagnostic capabilitiesfor the evaluation of bone quality and quantity, as well asdental and osseous pathology essential for better informeddental implant treatment. CBCT provides the convenience ofin office imaging and decreased radiation exposure. Rapidprinting technologies provide decreased time and highaccuracy for bone model and surgical guide fabrication.
