Abstract
This study aims to addressing relationship between space and gender at The Iron Lady (Phyllida Lloyd, 2011) movie. This film will be analysed with concepts of public and private sphere in conjunction with contrasts such as masculinity-femininity, active-passive, logical-sentimental. At the same time, the female character in The Iron Lady, as an example of an alternative to mainstream cinema stereotyped roles will be discussed.
