Abstract :
Densityandultrasonic studyfor the binary mixtures ofacetoneandnitrobenzene overthe entire concentration range were measuredat temperatures313K. The experi-mental datawasthen usedto calculate thecompressibilityandacoustic impedance,molecularfree length,inverse relaxationtimeandexcessparameters. Thevalues ofexcessproperties furtherfitted withRedlich–Kister polynomial equation to estimatethe binary coefficients.The resulting excess functions were interpreted in terms of theinteractionsbetween the molecules in the binary mixtures.Resultsconfirmedthatdipole-dipole intermolecular interaction tookplace between aceto neandnitrobenzene.
