Evaluation of The Developing Nursing Roles at The International Level

Increased lifespan, aging populatin and desiring beter quality of life has increased the importance of incontinence care.Ensuring care to individuals with incontinence and maintaining continence are reguired a multidisciplinary team. Nurses are the essential members of the team with their constantly developing roles. Continence nurses in a key position, have some roles and responsibilities that they have to perform. They are making research, clinician / practitioner, counseling,health protection / development, training, decision making, care management, manager, coordination and communication.Indeed, developing standards / protocols about nursing roles, training programs, and making legal arrangements are needed. Thus, level of the nursing expertise will increase and continence care at the international level will be achieved.
