Abstract :
This study aims to describe the influence of problem-based learning and project citizenmodel in civic education (Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan) learning onstudent’scritical thinking abilityas well as on student’sself discipline. Itused quasi experiment method with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Theresearch populationconsisted ofthe 10th‐graderswho were selected through simple random sampling technique. The data were collected throughpretest, posttest, and observation and analyzed usingmanova testfollowed by post hoc Bonferroni test through SPSS program 22.0. The results show that1) the problem-based learning and project citizen model have significant influence on student’scritical thinking ability, 2) they also have significant impact on self-discipline, and 3) overall, they significantlyinfluence their critical thinking ability and self-discipline.
