Abstract :
The spatial distribution for 37 Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) included in the Harvard catalogue of red-shifts has been studied in terms of their distances and red-shifts. We investigated the completeness of the catalogue by using an intrinsic property of the AGN, their absolute luminosity. The absolute luminosity for the 37 AGNs was calculated and they were partitioned into classified into two categories, above and below 10^11Lʘ. This study finds no observable differences between the two luminosity groups, so that the AGNs are distributed randomly and uniformly, implying the completeness of the catalogue.
