Abstract :
Theaim of thisstudywastoevaluatetheaccuracyoftwointraoralscannersusedinthedentaloffice. Amolarfixedinatypodontwaspreparedforaceramiconlay. Thepreparationwasscannedusingahigh-resolutionscanner (referencescanner) andsavedasstereolithography (STL)format. Thepreparedresinmolarwasscannedagainusingtheintraoralscanners,andallthescansweresavedaswellin STLformat. AllSTLfileswerecomparedusingmetrologysoftware (GeomagicControlX). Overlappingthemeshesallowedtheassessmentofthescansintermsoftruenessandprecision.Basedontheresultsofthisstudy,thedifferencesoftruenessandprecisionbetweentheintraoralscannerswereminimal
