Protes dalam Masyarakat di Alam Melayu Sebelum Merdeka: Analisis Terhadap Beberapa Novel Terpilih

This paper analysis the protest mind among the pre-independence indigenous in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei based on selected novels in that era. The novels which been referred are those well accepted among the general public in the respective nations during that era. It is found that, generally the writers of those days were more inclined to articulate the protest mind through love, force marriage, women emancipation, class of culture and nationalism themes.
