Mak Yong dalam Bentuk Teater: Meneliti Aspek Pengarahan Anak Raja Gondang oleh Norzizi Zulkifli

This paper is a direct observation upon the staging of mak yong directed by Norzizi Zulkifli in a contemporary form. Issue that will be explores is how the successful stage management, especially in directing aspect, being done. It is found that, essential there is no definite technique in management and directing of the stage performance rather than dedication and commitment among the people involved, especially the director and the actors. A good stage performance needs a good scrip and continuous practices. Other aspects such as the stage, set, prop, lighting, decoration, costume and other sophisticated audio-visual effects are just secondary. Dedication and commitment among all those who involved are the main factors to manifest a good management and directing.
