Kata kerja transitif bahasa Mendriq: Kerangka Program Minimalis

This paper analyses the syntactic which formed the verb phrase in Mendiq language, a language of Aborigine that has been classified as Austronesianic group speakers, at Kuala Lah, Gua Musang, Kelantan. The language is facing a fate of extinction. Data have collected from field works that involved two informants and a translator. The data is then analyzed by using Program Minimalist (PM). Based on the outcomes of the analysis, this paper assumes that Mendriq language’s property possesses present tense feature as its foundation in every sentence as it has no auxiliary lexical aspect before its verb. The verb phrase may exist in a single form with an absent of morpheme. Every sentence in all language posses verb either explicitly or implicitly. Furthermore, the verb could be presumed as a nucleus that monitors and interprets the sentence. This analysis also found that all those verbs are transitive verbs that possesses the present tense feature in their sentence.
