Every year World Health Day is observed on 7 April to mark the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO). The occasion is an opportunity to raise awareness of key global health issues. “International health security” is the theme this year. International health security is the first line of defence against natural and man-made catastrophes that can overwhelm communities, countries and economies.
