Abstract :
Synthesis of Schiff bases from the reaction between Cefalexin with the aldehyde (dimethyl amino benzaldehyde) compound(1), which then converted to acids chloride by using thionyl chloride that given hypuric derivative compound (2) that is prepared by reaction between compound (1) and glycine in (NaOH %10) that is closed in the second step by using (Aldehyde, acetic acid anhydride) compound (3). Another closed is got from mixing compound (3) with (ethyl aceto actate) to produce compound (4). Hydrazine derivative (5) is considered the basic compound that will give the following heterocyclic derivatives from reacting with (malk anhydride, and phthalic anhydride) compound (7a, b), new Schiff bases (6a, b), (benzoyl chloride) (8a, b), and another time with (ethyl aceto acetate) compound (9). The structure of all the above mentioned compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral analysis (1H-NMR, and FTIR).
