Abstract
The effect of (NeemcosTechnical, Neem oil and Neem Biopesticides) on the biology of Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) was conducted in the Toxicology Laboratory, Department of Agric. Entomology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad at three concentrations, 1, 0.5 and 0.25%, which proved sublethal as there was no mortality even after 48 hrs post application time interval. Results showed that the concentrations of three neem formulations had statistically significant difference among them (p 0.02). Larval and pupal duration had non significant difference in three concentrations of each product. A significant effect on fecundity of T. castaneum was observed. Interaction of chemicals and concentrations on fecundity of T. castaneum at 27, 35 and 42 days after exposure showed that beetle laid significantly less number of eggs as compared to control. Neem products and their concentrations had significant difference among them and also with control, at all time points. The fecundity of beetles from treated neem oil with substrate was comparatively and statistically lower than other two products.
