Abstract :
Goniodes gigas (Taschenberg) large chicken louse morpho-taxonomy was studied for the first time from Balochistan, Pakistan in detail with special reference to head, mouthparts, thorax, abdomen, chaetotaxy, female and male genitalia. A key is also given to the suborders, families, genera, species (G. gigas) and its closest allies. The relationship within its group is also briefly discussed.
