Abstract :
Sex pheromone gland of Eublemma amabilis Moore, a major predator of the lac insect, Kerria lacca Kerr. was observed. The female sex pheromone gland of E. amabilis was an eversible sac of glandular epithelium situated ventrally in the intersegmental membrane between the 8^th and 9^th abdominal segments. The position of the pheromone gland is located between the ovipore and the ostium bursae. The glandular epithelium is composed of tall, closely packed, columnar cells with distinct cell membranes. Round or oval shaped nuclei are found in the glands of adult female E. amabilis of all ages.
