Abstract :
Mn(II) complexes were synthesized with thiosemicarbazones of pyrrole-2-carboxyaldehyde, 2-acetyl furan, 2-acetyl thiophene abbreviated as L^1, L^3 L^5 respectively and semicarbazones of the same ketones as stated above and abbreviated as L^2, L^4 L^6 respectively (Fig. 1). These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurements of the complexes in DMSO (0.01 molar) are corresponds to non electrolyte. On the basis of spectral studies an octahedral geometry may be assigned for all the complexes.
