Changing Nature of Information and User Needs in the Modern Electronic Networked Environment, Challenge for Libraries

This article assesses the changing nature of information and user needs in the modern electronic networked environment. Key changes to previous paradigms emerge through the simplicity of electronic publishing, the desktop delivery of information, and the ubiquity of user access. It is argued that library services must adapt to these changes and develop appropriate new services if they are to remain relevant.
