Golden Jubilee - Messages; My Alma Mater During the Academic Year 1959-60

Like many others my entry in the profession was by chance. One of my friends who had done Diploma course in 1957-58 and was soon employed at Karachi University Library, was the source person and guide for me. His fast success stimulated me to emulate him, that is, to seek admission in this course and find a job at university and thus paving a way for further education. And fortunately, this exactly happened when Dr. Moid offered me a job soon after the final examination. It was never my intention to adopt librarianship as a career. Nevertheless, it was my long cherished desire to become a teacher but I never thought of teaching Library Science. I don t have any regret
