Abstract :
A new sesquiterpene-lactone (nubdienolide) belonging to the guaiane class has been isolated from methanol soluble part of Salvia nubicola collected from Quetta (Pakistan). Structure of nubdienolide was elucidated with the aid of spectroscopic techniques including 2D NMR.
