Abstract :
In this paper, a generalized Riccati equation method for obtaining exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equationds is proposed and applied to the generalized Pochhammer-Chree equation and the Klein-Gordon equation.As a result, new exact travelling wave solutions are obtained. It is shown that the generalized Riccati equation method is direct, effective and can be used for many other nonlinear partial differential equations.
