Abstract
In this paper, we prove Boyd-Wong and Meir-Keeler type theorems in the frame of generalized metric spaces of Branciari type, without using Hausdorff assumption. Our results improve and generalize several well known results existing in the literature. In particular, we improve a recent result obtained by Jleli et al. in [M. Jleli, E. Karapınar, B. Samet, Further generalizations of the Banach contraction principle, J. Inequal. Appl. 2014:439 (2014)]. We present an example to illustrate the usability of our results.
