Abstract
Working against time forces the apparel contract manufacturers to work with a large number of fabric suppliers without a proper selection. As a result of this, these companies confront the problem of quality and delay in shipment. In this study, a continuous supply model was proposed for the mainly used fabrics in high season, before receiving an order in a ready-wear enterprise which worked with contract manufacturers of knitted fabric. In this system, the total cost of the proposed system was reduced due to reduction of transport and order costs.
