Abstract :
Product development in the textile supply chain become a dynamic and continous activity. Therefore, to improve decisions at this phase is extremely important to reduce the risk and increase the gain. To develope a new apparel product is a study to consume much more time and resource. Because the savings in production without compromising on quality will positievly influence costs, using of all kinds of material, system, and manufacturing time should be the main purpose. In this study, men’s shirt is used, it is determined how the fabric widths affect on the fabric cost in production by examing the width oriented, length oriented, and both of width and length oriented changes on pattern.
