Abstract :
Migration is one of the important facts that led and shaped world history. While preserving this feature, one of the recent forms of migration is the Brain Drain. Although this form of migration is a new phenomenon, it is a fact that migration of scientists is not a new thing, but it has a past as old as the history of science. One of the best examples of the Brain Drain, which has an important scientific and cultural contribution to the city or country it s been made, was the migration case that took place during the time of Timurids and that was the most important factor leading to the rise of the concept of Timurid Renaissance. The per contra the Brain Drain that took place during the decline and fall process of Timurids, had a great contribution to the developments in the field of philosophy and science in India, Egypt and especially the Ottoman lands.
