Abstract
An ecological study was conducted to record the distribution ofweeds in wheat, maize and potato crop fields of Tehsil Gojra, DistrictToba Tek Singh, Punjab. Sixty-seven weed species were reported fromthe study area out of which two belonging to monocot families, andtwenty seven to dicot families. Thirty-five weed species were foundonly in wheat, thirty-four in maize and twenty-four in potato cropfields while twenty-four weed species found common either in case ofwheat-maize, maize-potato or wheat-potato combinations. Only twoweed species were common in all three crops, i.e. Convolvulusarvensis L. and Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. having importance value(I.V) of 53.58 and 57.13 respectively.
