Abstract :
Planning and operation studies of complex power systems require accurate and reliable modelling of each system component, in addition to a powerful dynamic simulation tool. Load-flow, transient stability studies are the most important analytical studies that are required for any electrical system. It determines the performance of the electrical network steady-state operation. This paper presents the dynamic modelling and simulation of load flow and transient stability analysis to evaluate the Egyptian Electrical grid. The complex power system is modelling and simulation using Power System Simulator for Engineer (PSS/E). The building blocks of the dynamic model of a power system are presented. Details of modelling Egyptian Electrical power network are discussed, Utilizing the flexible features of PSS/E, different scenarios of the network considering several events in each zoon for Egyptian Electrical Power Network can be created.
