Abstract :
In this paper two different methods for the treatment of bad data have been introduced. The first one is the most commonly used method in the control center, which is the weighted least squares (WLS) technique based on the normalized residual vector, which relies on processing the treatment of bad data after performing the estimation process. The second method is Bad Data Pre-cleaning (BDPC) technique, which is based on the pre-cleaning of single or multiple bad data before the estimation process. The paper introduces a method for the power system state estimation, based on the known algorithm of the WLS estimation. Applications for WLS estimation and Transformed measurements methods on the IEEE 30-bus system has been introduced and compared.
