Abstract :
Electrochemical turning (ECT) process has many applications such as the machining of hard materials, alloy steels ...etc. In this study the metal removal by the ECT is performed according to Faraday s law. In order to improve the metal removal rate (MRR) in ECT process, different parameters that can affect ECT process are investigated and assessed such as the applied DC voltage (from 12 to 30 volt), gap distance between the tool and the workpiece (from 0.8 to 1.4 mm), the rotational speed (from 48 to 190 rpm), and the used electrolyte (NaCl and HQ) with concentration (10 to 20%) and volumetric flow rate (from 5 to 15 L/min) were studied. A formula interpreting the relation between the electrical conductivityefficiency has been deduced. Moreover, the relations between theparameters were correlated to the process efficiency. and the process above-mentioned
