Abstract
This paper proposes a model of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) suitable for transient stability and studying the performance of it during short circuit in different cases by using simulation, for a wind farm system. The short-circuit of wind farm contribution has not received much attention so far. Mostly of (DFIG) have a crowbar to protect the power electronic converter that is connected to the rotor windings of the induction generator. A drawback of (DFIG) is that it is very sensitive to grid disturbances.
