THE EXAMINATION OF THE EMOTIONS IN TERMS OF GENDER OF THE CHILDREN WHOSE PARENTS ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DIVORCE AND THE CHILDREN WHO LIVE WITH THEIR PARENTS

This study is carried on to examine the emotions of the children at the age of primary school whose parents are in the divorce process and whose parents live together.The sample of the study has been drawn from 80 children whose process have been continuing divorce/custody cases at ninth family court in Ankara, 40 children between the ages of 7-11 whose family are in divorce process and 40 same age children who live with their family. “Children Information Form” and “Family Information Form” has been used in the study. It has been evaluated with the Chi Square analysis if the process of divorce and gender effects the emotions of the children. As a result of this study, it has been determined that the state of meeting with the father differs according to the gender of the children, whose family is in the process of divorce. It is also concluded that the behaviors that pleases the child, and his/her reactions to these behaviors are influenced from the state of family in terms of divorce. It is recognized that the children, whose family is in the process of divorce, is affected from the gender of the person with whom they share the behavior which makes them happy.
