Abstract :
Self-advocacy provides an environment in which disabled people can get over negative labelingare exposed to in situations of social exclusion and renew themselves. In addition, when they see that they can share their story, they are fully understood and being “useful” through self-advocacy groups, it is clear that they are more hopeful, and feel good about the future. Therefore, social worker who will lead to these groups, or offer cosultancy service, by accepting to the spirit of formation of these groups, will contribute to the positive effect of taking the encouraging role them to selfrepresentationin the field of disability. In brief, the study is aimed at both to inform of philosophy of self-advocacy and to contribute to this positive effect.
