Abstract :
In 2010, Pakistan ranked 43rd in the world in the scientificpublications and it is expected that Pakistan will rise to the27th place by 2018.1 Nowadays medical writing is no morean optional activity for the undergraduate medicalstudents, residents and faculty members. Students wantexperience in medical research and writing to secureelectives in reputable universities abroad. Residents andtrainees need to engage in medical research and writing tolearn this science and complete the mandatorythesis/dissertation required as a pre-requisite for thefellowship exam and improve their chances of residencymatches abroad.
