Abstract
In order to assess the microbial quality of frozen fish fillet sold in Sulaimani markets, 64 samples of frozen fish fillets belonging to 4 foreign trademarks were collected. The label information were conducted for all samples then the standard bacterial count, psychrophilic bacterial count, psychrotrophic bacterial count, enterobacteriacae, E.coli, and Vibrio spp. were conducted. Although there were significant differences among the tested but all marks bacterial count were within the Iraqi standard regulations. All inspected marks were free from Vibrio cholera. In conclusion all four marks fish Samples were judge as safe food for human consumption.
