Hypercholesterolaemia: an emerging dilemma

Madam, coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death in the western society. In the recent years however, the incidence has increased in developing countries as well. Increased incidence of obesity in some developing countries like Pakistan, due to sedentary lifestyle and poor dietary control may lead to hypercholesterolaemia which is a known risk factor for coronary artery disease and stroke.
