Abstract :
Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) is currently well recognized in clinical practice for the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases. CMR is helpful in the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with myocardial infarction. The high spatial resolution of CMR enables accurate assessment of tissue characterization in various types of cardiomyopathy. In addition, CMR may play a complementary role with echocardiography in clinical evaluation of patients with valvular and congenital heart disease.
