Editorial: Message from the Editor-in-Chief

The Journal of the Saudi Heart Association continues to grow both locally and internationally and indeed this is clearly demonstrated with the increase of downloads from the Science Direct by 44% in 2012 compared to 2011. Interestingly this was accompanied by a shift of downloads the majority being from the United States (19%) and China (12%) followed by Saudi Arabia (11%) for the years 2010 and 2011. While in 2012 we had a remarkable increase in downloads from the United States reaching up to 60% of full text. In addition, there has been an increase of the citations for our journal by 30%.
