Abstract :
The archaeological explorations revealed that there were pottery workshops which produced local coarse wares in the hypocausten structure at Magnesia ad Maeandrum. One of the finding groups were the 28 clay lamps among the other type potteries which were studied in this paper. These examples were typologically classified and dated. The Local mold made lamps have poor quality in terms of production techniques and slipping. These lamp types show great similarities with the other productions in Mediterranean region which dated to early and middle Roman imperial period. The earliest examples from the building dated to the second half of the 1st century BCE and the first half of the 2nd century BCE. The latest pieces can be dated the 3rd century AD.
