WHEEL MADE LAMPS FROM ERYTHRAI – CENNETTEPE EXCAVATIONS

Cennettepe which is located towards the southwestern coast of Erythrai-one of the twelve Ionian cities-contains the remains of the villages from the Late Roman Period. In most of the layers excavated in this area both late materials and early finds have been discovered. In this work, the wheel made lamps found during the excavations was evaluated typologically and the Erythrai examples of this type were presented for the first time in the scientific literature.
