Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable questionnaire for the evaluation of self-efficacy related to body language and dance. The pre-test questionnaire comprising 51 items has been revised and the items with item-test correlation value lower than 0.40 have been eliminated to give the questionnaire its final form. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the final questionnaire comprising 34 items, of which the items have been gathered into a single factor has been computed as 0.95. A highquality administration of music lessons with an understanding that music and movement constitute an entity that should not be divided depends on the teacher s self-efficacy related to body language and dance. The development of a valid and reliable self-efficacy scale will allow the determination of the self-efficacy of prospective music teachers in this area and help overcome their deficiencies
