Abstract :
Structural communication grid is a technic which is developed to minimize the limitations of multiple choice tests. The purpose of this study is to compare the psychometric characteristics of multiple choice test and structural communication grid which aim to test the same construct. The research was carried on 276 seventh grade students. Findings point out that structural communication grid items are easier than multiple choice test items. It has been found that structural communication grid is more reliable than multiple choice test, but no significant difference has been found between the criterion validity of two tests’ scores
