The Evaluation of the Orientation and Preparation Studies Books According to the Teachers’ Views

Abstract :
In this study, it was aimed to make an evolution of the orientation and preparation text and teachers’ books according to the teachers’ views. 657 classroom teachers, who work in the 25 different districts of Ankara, were the sample group of the study. A survey form, consisted of 31 3-point likert style items and 2 open-ended questions, which was created by the researcher was used as data collection tool. According to the findings of the study, the presentation of the activities in the books incrementally and related to the daily life; the presence of the different learning strategies in the teaching processes are the positive components of the books. The lack of adequate acquisitions that the students will gain at the end of the processes and activities suitable for the learners’ personal differentiations; the absence about assessment procedures are defined as the main factors needs to be developed. At the end of the study, suggestions for developing orientation and preparation studies textbooks and teachers’ books were presented.
