Abstract :
The reduplication formations, which are in the structure of belli başlı, boylu poslu, güçlü kuvvetli, irili ufaklı, are examined in this study. We have discussed in this study if there is a criterion that can discriminate hendiadyoins, which are formed with words carrying +Ilg + Iug adjective suffix, from the structure of + Il ... + Il, which expresses togetherness, and is used in old Turkish language, besides mixed one another in Turkish language. We have concluded that the meaning criteria such as antonymy, synonymy and accent can be used as a criterion.
