SEZAİ KARAKOÇ’UN ŞİİRLERİNDE MODERNLİK ELEŞTİRİSİ

In this article, the criticism for modernism in the poetry of Sezai Karakoç has been discussed. Modernism is the adaptation of Western ways by nonwestern societies. Turkish society has been going through the same process intensively since the 19th century. The poet criticizes what modernism imposes on human beings in general and on Turkish society in particular. In this article, the areas where the criticism were more focused on and thre ways that the poet criticizes modernsm were discussed.
