WOMEN IN THE SEMRA ÖZDAMAR’S WORKS WHICH IS THE “SEMRA TEACHER” OF ‘HABABAM SINIFI”

Semra Özdamar is one of the forgotten names in Turkish literature with his two short story books, one play and one fictional biography. Although he was remembered for his role as Semra Teacher in the movie Hababam Sınıfı, Özdamar, who made a name for himself for a time with his author identity, highlighted the disruptive aspects of society especially through female characters. In the works we examine, the struggle of women from all walks of expression to express themselves as individuals is put forward and the sincerity in the value judgments of the society is questioned.
