Abstract
The Cultural Artefacts in Education (CAE) questionnaire is used to determine the educational values of different cultures. In this paper I examine the results for ten countries, specifically focussing on their attitudes towards adaptive hypermedia in an educational setting. These results can inform the authoring process for adaptive systems content, with Adaptive Hypermedia systems being able to employ stereotype adaptation to deliver content pre-adjusted to a learner’s cultural background.
