One of the established risk factors of testiculartumor is undescending testis affectedby environmental and geneticfactors. We report a case of testiculartumor associated with a history of contralateralundescended testis in a patient of Taleghanihospital in the year 2003.A 38-year-old man visited the hospital complainingof painless swelling of the left scrotal contents.Right orchiectomy had been performedfolowing the diagnosis of undescending testis, eight years earlier. He had a firm mass with10cm x 6 em in the left scrotum and lab tests revealedhigh alpha-fetoprotein. Left radical inguinalorchiectomy was performed and thepathological diagnosis of the tumor was germcell tumor, Teratocarcinoma. Previous pathologicreport of undescending testis was atrophic testis. In conclusion, considering the higher risk of developmentof testicular cancer in both gonads inpatients with undescending testis, long term followup is recommended.
